Artist's Biography

Since the 1980s his designs for urban spaces, buildings and products have been published widely in prominent peer reviewed journals and several books. They have received excellent critic's reviews in the English national press.

His paintings have been successfully exhibited in several prominent public galleries. This includes the 250th Anniversary of the Royal Academy of Arts exhibited at Salford Art Gallery and Museum. Recently at the Atkinson Municipal Art Gallery and Museum Southport.

British born and trained in England and Canada, Jack Rostron graduated from Universities in England and Scotland. He studied Urban Planning in the Faculty of Architectural Studies Sheffield. In Glasgow he studied creative design and awarded a Doctorate.

His paintings hang in several private collections and in public government buildings. Jack Rostron's creative works have received prestigious awards including a SMART award from the English Government. Similarly, his product design's have been awarded a Patent.

Dedicated to daily observation of different aspects of the natural and built environment. Dr Rostron attempts to combine accurate representation with the salient intrinsic quality that each subject offers.
